Gibson ES-125TCD 1962
Here’s an absolutely stunning ES-125 TCD from the very early 60’s,
This one is in fantastic condition
And plays remarkably well! Very light, resonant, loud and has a lovely deep bass. The wide early 60s 1-11/16” nut width is very comfy,
The neck is also slim and wide all the way down.
The guitar comes with the original bridge in the case and currently has a lovely carved one-piece compensated ebony bridge for optimum tone! The tuners are modern kluson but can be replaced with an original 60s set at the buyers choice. The back of the neck has a small layer of French polish over the original cherry finish, most likely to keep it smooth and sleek. The Brazilian rosewood fretboard is so dark you would think it’s ebony.. there seems to have been some small separation
On one of the headstock wings. This is professionally taken care of.
The knobs glow consistently with the guitar under black light and the P-90 pickups sound like a harmonica on steroids! The guitar is overall exceptional and is the best sounding and playing 125 we’ve ever seen.
The guitar comes in a lovely old perfectly formed hardcase with some cool old guitar related stickers on it. The guitar is too light for our scale to read we would say 1.5-2kg.
