Yamaha AE-18 Archtop 1974 - Blonde

A fantastic and rare vintage archtop from Yamaha. This guitar is in all original condition and built with high quality materials.

The neck is a beautiful quarter sawn maple with Ebony fretboard and ‘arrow’ mop inlays. The carved top is made out of spruce and the back & sides are a nicely figured maple 🍁.

The guitar has seen a lot of use through the decades but has held out extremely well, there are two small dings with missing binding , many superficial blemishes and some cracks in the paint from weathering. the pickguard is also a Little bit warped and the nut has been replaced, although it does it’s job well, the guitar could do with a new nut , the frets are original and at about 60%.
